These automata were all made as gifts for friends and family. The smaller ones stand at 8” and the larger ones at 12”. They are operated by levers built into the side and have all the mechanism built into a false back wall. I have tried to make each one pertinent to the character of the person I was making for. The main character has been made using fimo modelling clay. Some of the later models I introduced small electric motors (3 and 6); in no 4 I added a fart making sensor so that everytime the lever was pulled a fart sound emanated. All the ones with skeletons in are based on the Mexican day of the dead. |
